Currently I'm working as a web developer for imageright in Timisoara (Romania). Here I develop websites in PHP with mySQL database, using CakePHP as framework. It does make my life easier, no doubt about that. Well, I'll have this job for 1 more week.

Since I won't be employed after this 1 more week I had to find myself another job. And I did, at least I thought that I did.

This Monday I had my interview at one of the two companies. BG Bricks it's a dutch company developing intra net applications. At least that's what they told me. The company headquarter is in the Netherlands, in Timisoara they have just a point office. The job interviews and hirings are managed by another dutch company (Uniconnect). The interview was just a test, I had to make some users management, basic stuff like adding, editing and deleting users. I passed that simple test.

On Tuesday I had my interview at the other company (RealNet), a Romanian company and they do web development too. The interview was just talking and showing them some stuff I did. They were pleased, like the dutch company, they also wanted to hire me. I had to chose at which company to work for.

I requested 700€ as salary per month from each company. BG Bricks accepted my request and agreed to give me that salary in change for my services. RealNet denied my request and made me an offer of 500€ salary. 700€ is not much, but I won't be a slave for 500€.

Today (Thursday) when I went to Uniconnect to sign the contract, they told me they wish no more to hire me. All they said is that they are sorry, but they don't like my attitude. This is the most stupid excuse I have ever heard of. I refused another job so they can tell me they don't want to hire me. This was the worst news I could get today. All I can say that they are not serious. One day they tell me they want to hire me, the next day they tell me they don't. Yesterday they were all smiling at the interview and the next day they stab you in the back.

I think they need to change their attitude and nothing is wrong with my attitude. I should sue them for doing this. They think they can fool around with people.

Telling you your attitude sucks, is indeed a very lame excuse.. Next time when you have two companies waiting for you hold on to the other one untill you get the job :) But what BG Bricks did is just not done *pukes*

Oh, and if they don't want to use CakePHP then it can't be much of a company anyway ^^

@mbavio: I am not worrying, just that I am full of things like this.

@Stew3: Next time I have an interview I register the conversation. And I didn't tell them to use Cake, I just suggested that would be a good option in the future.

@roryy: I know they are not all the same. But this company proved that they word worth nothing and I want others to know about this.

I wrote to the office in Netherlands. Of course they did not know what is going on at the office in Romania. The interesting thing is that yesterday somebody from Uniconnect called to my office asking my boss about me, if I am good or if I caused problems to the company. He told them that I didn't cause problems and I am good at what I do and he wouldn't like to let me leave the company. I wonder what they reported to the main office... that's a mystery.

First of all, what a beautiful layout you have mate.

Anyway, thats a very bad company. What kind of excuses is that. But don't worry about it mate.
    You have the skills.

I know you learned experience on that.
Always play safe. Trust no one. Things change.
    And be prepared.

They don't like your attitude? You don't like theirs either.
